What is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist?

To be able to use the title ‘Chartered Clinical Psychologist’, a person has to undertake training and study to complete a Doctorate in Clinical psychology at an accredited course and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society. They use assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention to help individuals reduce their psychological distress and improve wellbeing.

 How much do sessions cost? 

 Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £110 per session. Payment is preferable via bank transfer 24 hours before the session.

I am also registered with Bupa. Please check prior to beginning therapy that your policy covers you for psychological therapy.

Where do sessions take place?

I offer therapy face to face from my therapy rooms either in Cheadle or Didsbury, South Manchester. Parking is available onsite at both locations.

I also offer remote therapy via zoom.

 How many sessions do I need? 

National Guidelines recommend approximately 6 - 20 sessions but this can vary depending on your needs and wishes.

 What if I need to cancel ?

Appointments cancelled with 48hrs notice or more will not be charged.

What if I need help urgently?

If you are in crisis and require urgent support please contact your GP, out of hours surgery (111) or A&E department.
